Planning considerations
Bring your lot plan, HOA guidelines and ideas for furniture, pets or future features. Review drainage patterns left by the builder, easements, access gates and any pool or future construction plans before deciding where surfaces belong.
Material choices
Compare turf, concrete pavers, travertine, rock and Alumawood finishes as a coordinated palette. Balance comfortable use, sun exposure, care and budget rather than choosing every material in isolation.
Preparation before the finish
An unfinished yard still needs site review, grading and suitable bases. Plan utility and irrigation routes before patios or turf are installed. Confirm property lines, approvals and which builder conditions are outside the scope.
Care and upkeep
A mixed landscape needs a simple care plan for each surface and any new plants. Ask for product guidance, cleaning recommendations and irrigation instructions at the walkthrough.
What affects the cost
Lot size, selected features, builder soil conditions, drainage, access and utility work affect the total. Phasing is worth discussing, but later work may require access through completed areas.
